Panalee's Interesting Remarks

A couple things Panalee said yesterday make me laugh.

• "Daddy, are you pooping from your mouth?" when she found daddy throwing up due to food poisoning. I'm sure daddy didn't find her statement humorous at the moment.
• "Mommy, I'm going to work with daddy today so we can get money." With her 'toy' toolbox in her hand, Panalee was following daddy while he's leaving for work.

Tea Party Luncheon

We just had tea party luncheon today.

Host: mommy. Guests: Panalee, Veejida, Danger, 'Big Girl' Doll, and 'Mr. Aaron' the yellow dog.

Foods: Steamed rice noodle, Yogurt, Blueberries, and Lemon cookies.

Etiquette: very poor!

Naples Island Swim 2009

Last weekend, again, daddy was in the three-mile challenge Naples Island Swim Race and he made it 1 hour 28 minutes. He and Uncle Joe participated along the side with other swimmers since they were late for the registration. Yes! We’re late being only walkable distance from home!

Pier-To-Pier Swim Last weekend

Last week, daddy survived Dwight Crum Pier-To-Pier Swim, 2-mile swim race from Manhattan Beach to Hermosa Beach.

This is his fourth year after he had paced Joe for several years. The current is quite strong this year. Most of swimmers took about ten minutes longer, including Dave & Joe -- about 1 hour 2o minutes. Thank you Joe for always waits for Dave. I can't believe he's in class male 45-49 years old :-)

























After having breakfast at about 1 p.m., we drove along PV peninsula and stopped at Abalone Cove. We hiked a little bit and headed back home, then had dinner. What a tiring day but it was so wonderful! We all had a great time!

The peninsula on the back is Portuguese Bend.

I'm Back!

I haven't posted for a while. I've lost my password. .... will do soon so, if Veejida allows me. Exactly like her sister ay this age, every time I sit in front of the computer, she comes yanking and clinging on to me then cries. :-)

I found it!

Panalee and Veejida had her first Easter egg hunt today. They were ecstatic. Mommy trashed most of the candies though. Next week we will have another hunt with the MOMS club. They probably look forward to it. But no candies for the MOMS club egg hunt. :-) Mommy likes it!

First Class

This morning we went to the Baby Dance class, the first class ever of Veejida. She enjoyed it but still had separation & stranger anxiety. She loves all the instruments in the class. They're yummy!

Her bottom tooth is sprouting now. Finally!

homebound

Panalee has been sick for almost a week now. Poor thing! The fever has been on and off but the worst part is congestion. When she sleep, it sounds like 70-year-old man snoring.

VJ solo

When my sister goes to school, I miss her dearly. So does my mom; however, I enjoy spending quality time with my mommies, using 'HER' bath tub and 'HER' high chair.

Valentine's Day

They wore matching sweaters ... given by Koa, et.al. and we went to the party at his house.

Merry Round!

Sunday, we went to 5-year-old girl’s (Lily’s) birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese, first time there for mommy and Panalee (&v of course). She didn’t want to leave. She was so sleepy in the car but still crying and screaming “I want merry-round,” “merry-round!” Yes, she’s in love with the merry-go-round. Every where we go, if she sees one, she’s always brightened up.

My first day at school!

On Tuesday 2/10, it's Panalee first day going away to childcare. She will be full-time there on Mon, Tues, and Fri.

First day, she did well. We arrived there at 10 am after her normal routines as shown in the picture. She cried when I was leaving because she thought she had to leave but I told her she could stay she took off with a couple of her friends.

Second day (today Friday the 13th), it’s not going well because it’s a fearful day (for her) … oh no … because we woke her up at 7 pm. She left home in her pajamas with Daddy dropping her off with tears. It’s just because it’s not her habit, especially dealing with her tiredness is always unmanageable.

We're back!

After Monday, we have been very busy (or actually ~ normally ~ everyday). There's new event going on. Then our cable modem became broken. Now it’s fixed and we’re up again :-)

Veejida's Playdate

We have friends come over today for the baby play group. Forgot to take a photos but we'll do so next time. We're hosting it again in two weeks.

Veejida was excited watching other babies. She's very tired and over stimulated at the end, not sure because of today's environment or waking up at 7 am. :-P

Panalee's memory

She always surprises us in many ways including her memory. The day we went to the doctor’s office, I told her in advance to prepare her mind. She said “Oh! So we can see fish and Nemo and chairs.” She can describe the office after we haven’t been there for months and we never really talk about visiting a doctor or explain to her that the person who examines her called a doctor.

We now have a playdate with our neighbors' kids every Wednesday. You problaby remember some; in the photo are Ava and Koa.

Last Wednesday, we went to Livingston Park, the nearby newly remodeled playground and the first park Veejida went when she was two-week-old. While we were walking to the play structure, we were passing our neighbor’s/her friend’s car. She said “Koa’s Car.” So she ought to remember the license plate or some...?

And anywhere we go and turn into streets that she's never been to. She always ask"Where are we going, mommy?"

Many mini scoops

Thursday - Everything went well with VJ's check up. She's pretty slender coming in with 15 lbs. 10 ounces, and 28" long.


Friday - They woke up happy this morning. Then sat in the snuggler quietly reading together (for a few minutes).
- Daddy came home early bringing back hairclips for the girls (so sweet) and the new quick camera for us (nice!).

- In the evening, we had Porky's BBQ. We ordered Tri tips and smoked chicken. They are not as excellent as ribs and fried chicken. The sides are always good.


Saturday - It's been raining for a few day now in So. Cal. and will continue to rain. Daddy was just off to the traffic school. Hmm... I don't know why.

general updates

Today we're going to 6-month checkup for Veejida but she's officially 7 months old. This is how she looks like now (taken yesterday) ...

Panalee is still in her wonderful two. We'll catch up later.
